World Gamer Live is all about the competition, the intense rivalry between individuals and clans. It is all about the battles!
And here at World Gamer Live we do our best to encourage those battles.
We run both Live and Online related competitions that will cater for all
types of gamer. Our Ranking Ladders are continuously running and help to determine just who is the top gamer. They provide a visual
perspective of where you sit in the pecking order and provide a mechanism to climb to the dizzy heights of Number 1! Our Live events - FACE2FACE - provide the
ability to come along and meet all the gamers you have been battling against over the previous months. They also provide us with a opportunity
to crown the World Gamer Live champions and above else have a great day out.
So whether you are a online superemo or a live dominator

World Gamer Live is a community of like-minded gamers and as a community we like to get everyone together to meet and have
fun. With this in mind we organise regular FACE2FACE events throughout the year and encourage everyone to come along.
Each event has both scheduled and ad-hoc tournaments. The scheduled tournaments will be run by World Gamer Live and each will have its
own champion. The ad-hoc tournaments are organised by you the gamer and run throughout the event where people challenge each other or
setup custom games etc.
At each event we try to have some participation from the games industry, whether it be from a console
manufacturer such as Microsoft or Sony, or from a developer/publisher who will be presenting their lastest games.
Our last event was a
huge success and I am sure all the rest will be equally as good. |
World Gamer Live are proud to annouce the introduction of our Ranking Ladders. Here you will be able to register
and compete on some of the most fierce tournaments available. For each tournament a ranking ladder is kept up to date, showing
your position and previous challenge history. You will be able to compete as an individual or as part of a clan - ladders are kept for each.
The Ranking Ladders are all about bragging rights. Higher up on the ladder than your mates? - tell them about it! Challenge your friends and see yourself leap
above them on the ladder or get a clan together and become the Number 1 clan around!

Along with the Ranking Ladders we are introducing Cup Tournaments. Cups are knockout competitions that will be run over a series of dates and
will be limited to 8, 16 or 32 players - registration is a must! Each Cup Tournaments will have an associated prize - like entry into the WGL Hall of Fame and/or
bonus ranking points for the associated ladder.
If a Cup Tournament coincides with a Face2Face event then the final will be held at the event, with special prominance. The Cup Tournaments are a great way to get
yourself permanently into the WGL Hall of Fame as a winner of the tournament. Hall of Famers are set to enjoy some special WGL privilages - to be announced at a later
date.

Want to be recognised as one of the top gamers? Want that recognition to be up in lights? Well the World Gamer Live Hall of Fame is exactly what you
are looking for! The Hall of Fame section displays all the gamers who have achieved special recognition on the site.
To become a member of the Hall of Fame is easy - or is it. You will need to win a Cup Tournament, be Number 1 on a ladder or win a Face2Face event.
Both the Cup Tournament and Face2Face entries are permanent - you will remain in the Hall forever. The Number 1 entries will remain in the hall until they are defeated!
All Hall of Fame members will be instantly recognisable on the forums as they will have a special Hall of Fame icon displayed beside their name. So earn it and then
show it off! |
